I went to our JA today at 10AM and the lines were not to bad. I am so happy , I got the last ACCU Quilt for $ 199. They did not have the sewing basket for $ 9.99 anymore so I improvised and bought a Singer box filled with sewing essentials to give to my new daughter-in-law.

I went to JoAnns at noon thinking that the lines wouldn't be bad. There must have been about 100 people waiting to get fabric cut. I grabbed a few rolls of wrapping paper that were .99, and a candy bar. I was second in line at the check out and went home. Decided not to go in today either, but maybe will venture out tomorrow. I hope they still have the John Deer fabric I want.

Impressive Jodimarie. I had to work at the lab but I went around 5pm. No lines and no waiting anywhere at Joann's. Luckily, I didn't want any of the great doorbusters. I just needed some yarn for a sweater for my nephew. I still haven't been able to talk myself into buying a Go yet. I'm waiting to see if the price of the Singer Quilter's Confidence goes as low as it did last year as that would be my version of the best "belated" Black Friday gift to myself. We'll see.

Congrats. I don't do Black Friday shopping anymore. Too many people and long lines. I find that our JoAnns has lines ALL the time. Cutting line isn't too bad, they have usually 3 or 4 cutters, so it goes fast. But checking out is something else. I spend an average of 15 mins in the check out line.
