I'm heading out of town to Atlanta today, and there is a Joann superstore in Alpharetta. I want to look for two things: a continuous stencil for a border, (which I haven't found here)and test to see if they let me use the bathroom! Of course I won't need to, just want to see what happens. I usually have a very nice experience in that store, but, haven't asked about the "facilities" I'll report back.

Just reporting in from my enjoyable visit to Joann's. I ended up in the Duluth, GA store. I got a package of warm & natural batting queen size for $9.99 and some fat quarter bundles on sale. Also, they have lovely restrooms, not locked, very available. I had been reading somewhere that Joann's doesn't let customers use their restroom so I wanted to check it out. Maybe it is one of those "urban myths".

Hey Stitch, I live in Lafayette La and also have friends in the Atlanta area and have been to both of those JoAnns as well as the one in Kennesaw. Never have had problems using the facilities in any of them.
    Glad yo enjoyed your trip.

Can't use the facilities at the Joanns here and they have a sign posted that there is no public restroom. They used to let people use it but an employee had to go unlock it or be with you when you used it. Not sure about that as I never asked to use it. Not sure about the store that is 30 miles away from me.

One nice thing about Florida is that so many places have public restrooms. I guess it's either that or risk unappealing puddles on the floors!

Our Jo-Ann store suggests that you go next door to the Greek Restaurant and use their facilities! "they won't mind". I have a feeling that they
    would mind very much!

Interesting that there isn't a consistent corporate policy. CajunQuilter2, have you been to InTown Quilters in the Atlanta area? They moved to Decatur but still not far from where I am. I like to go to quilt stores in different parts of the country because they all seem to have things just that little different.

    Stitch,
Yes I have been there. I think I have been to every one within a 100 mile radius of Atlanta. LOL. Marcia took me to 2 there in her area that were awesome shops. PM her if you are still in the area as I am sure she will love to get you in as much trouble as she got me in those 2 stores--- :-o    .

There are 2 in Dahlonegah and there is one in Dawsonville if you get a chance to check it out. There also are 3 in Marietta that are nice as well. Worth the 45 min drive as they are not too far away from each other.
