I think I am the only person that doesn't actually shop at JA!! LoL, however, I have used muslin on most of my quilt backs for years, it is really forgiving and easy to machine or hand-quilt. I buy the muslin that Wal~Mart carries, especially love the egyptian 100% cotton I have found there. Just hate that muslin is only 38" wide as opposed to 42-44" but, it is cheap and works good enough for my taste.

I bought a bolt of muslin at JoAnn's a few years ago. It has been very nice. It is also 90 inches wide. It was 15 yards. I used a coupon and saved a lot. I have even used it to make patterns. It lasts a lot longer than paper.

The KONA muslin is a nice quality, not as weighty as the KONA solids. I've not purchased the mini bolts, but do buy the 108" width, several yards at a time. The 50% off Coupon for President's Day comes in handy. I stock up on it every year. =)

you have to really look at the quality...I've bought it by the bolt with the coupon the muslin seemed thin but I also purchased the colors Red, Hunter Green around the holidays and it was much better quality...
