I went to Joann's yesterday and just tore out my coupon instead of taking the whole fllyer in with me. The checker asked for my flyer. She told me that now they are scanning the address labels of the flyers along with the coupon. Said that is how they are determining to keep sending out the flyers to people instead of the codes on the coupons.

So, take the whole flyer with you when you go!

I usually just rip off the entire back page. This way I have the coupons and the bar code for the address. They have been doing this for quite awhile around here. :)

Yes, they scan that to make sure you get future flyers as if they don't scan it eventually you would be dropped from the mailing list

the manager at my local Joann's said to have them to scan it even if you don't buy anything

as soon as I get my flyer in the mail, I put it in the car in my bag so I always have it, just in case I run to town for something else I will have my flyer with me in case I stop in at Joanns

If the whole flyer is too much to carry, just tear off the back page and bring that. I like getting their flyers, so I make sure my name gets scanned.

I love getting their flyer, but the closest Joann's is 50 miles away so I have been dropped a few times. They will restart you if you go on the website and sign up again.

I wish you could go on the site and enter a code even if you are not buying anything. Kind of like them scanning it at the store, but from home.
