    Default Joann's Quilt Magic Kits

    Is anyone familiar with these?
I can't tell from the description exactly how this works. Maybe someone on the board has purchased one and can enlighten me.

I don't have a Joann's anywhere near me so can't go over to check it out.
    Thanks!

These were popular quite a few years ago. I saw someone making them at a quilt/craft show. There is a styrofoam board, then a picture on it and then you cut the fabric to the shape needed and push it thru the picture into the foam. The foam grips the fabric to hold it in place.

"Quilt Magic is similar to "painting by numbers". Now you can literally "paint by fabric" by using our revolutionary new product. You simply apply the fabric to the foamboard by pressing the fabric into the precut grooves. One by one until the picture is complete. We provide all necessary patterns and complete photo instructions. "

My granddaughter made a couple of these several years ago. They were Christmas gifts for her mom and aunt. She was probably 9 or 10 at the time.

WOW - just looked at JOAnn's online pictures of this - they sure have come a long way from the ones from years ago. Very pretty!

I have a 12"x12" (I think maybe larger) that I have had for SEVERAL
years. Never have got the desire to try it YET.

    I did have a small 5x5 or 6x6 that I gave to someone in a swap a
    few years ago.
