Default Fireworks small quilt

This is my work in progress for this weekend. I now have to put in the details. I'm using fabric paint and have made foam stamps for printing with paint. I went on a sidetrip to Dick Blick yesterday to buy opaque paint. I'm new to this technique, so my progress is slow. Making decisions about color seems to take the most time.

I sewed with you last night(SAT). I was working on the borders for "Scrappy Stars". Maybe today, also.....we have great weather, but the 'skeeters' are hungry. OUCH! I can sit by the patio door to sew......I'll be protected.

Love the red and white jelly roll first time I've seen a pattern I like. I'm still having fun reading your comments. A recipe for the red cake please. No idea what it is.

Well I joined you all yesterday! Been working on a few projects.....the first quilt was started at my group last Monday...we had a Linus day....got the sashing finished yesterday! Today I got these Wonky Stars blocks sashed.....it's one my son requested for some friends new baby daughter!! I've enjoyed a sewing week end...despite the garden calling!! The weather here in the UK has not been too encouraging for gardening....well that's my excuse!!!
I love reading/seeing what everyone has been doing! Thanks for the encouragement!!!ooops...my iPad seems to have done its own thing!!!!!! The bright squares quilt is the Linus quilt!

Have loved looking at everyone's projects, I decided to start with some Christmas pillowcases and some embroidered towels that will be gifts too. Have a great day

The one fabric is Ribbons of Hope by Windham Fabrics. The other two were just batiks I ordered from end of year inventory sales after Christmas and I can't find the receipt. There is nothing written in the selvage of course! Hope that helps.

I've just shown up for the fellowship and the red velvet cookies and baklava! Am on a true quilting hiatus. The sewing room is clean, orderly and have no plans to go back in for awhile. Call it early summer vacation. Have enjoyed seeing everyone's project postings. A big round of "atta girl/guy" to all of you for your continued creativity and purpose.

Well, after working for 3 hours or so I've added 10 rows to my bargello quilt, had to rip two that were sewn on backwards. I'm aiming for about 3 more hours of work, so we'll see where that lands me. I wanted to get it half done and sew up another strip set. Fingers crossed!

Checking in after finishing the quilting on one quilt - getting patterns selected for the second quilt.

Awesome pictures! Very talented people here.
