    Default Joining QAYG strips

Somewhere I saw a tutorial or info on how to put your QAYG strips together without hand stitching the back, but rather sew with machine the back together, have batting meet on the two strips, then sew on sashing by machine on front. I would like a little more info on this before I start and to make it easier, I have the general idea.

This is a thread I made on the method I've been using, but all my pics disappeared and I haven't found my originals to post them back. QAYG w/ a wide pieced sash

Here is the one from Kimberly on the QB that has worked easily for me. Especially on my Jane Stickle quilt! I machine stitched the front and hand sewed the back.

    QAYG that Kimberly uses :-)

Pictures of front and back (hard to get good picture with white on white!)

There is a class on Craftsy by Marti Michell that addresses just this issue. She offers several options, depending on the quilt pattern. Good class...great to refer back to from time to time.

This is so weird... my tutorial is now stripped of pictures too! What good is a tutorial without pictures?
