Hi friends, one of the women in our church quilting group came across an article about Joplin, MO quilting guild being wiped out of supplies, material etc. and they do a lot of charity quilting.(Many of their own homes were destroyed as well.)
There was an address to send supplies and material (or money) in thequiltshow.com newsletter.
We thought we should share some of our material and supplies, however we are wondering if The Quilt Show newsletter is a reliable source as we are unfamiliar with it.
Anybody know? Or can you verify where to send or who's attention to send to?
    Thanks.

thanks, I think people on this board are the generous type.
If we can figure it out, we can all become a blessing to some folks who could sure use a boost!

There has been a topic on this previously. If you do a search you can probably find it.

There are two guilds in Joplin.

The contact person for the Town and Country Quilters Guild is Gloria Park and info regarding donations to that guild can be found here...http://wwwbluemoonriver.blogspot.com...needs-our.html

    The guild's website is here...http://pages.suddenlink.net/towncountryquilters/

The Four Corners Quilt Guild of Joplin has no web presence.

It is a valid request and website here is another linkhttp://creatingthehive.com/blog-post...needs-our-help

It tells you more about it. They have received items from various places but they may still need help.

thanks everybody. this is enough to get us going. I knew I could rely on you for direction.
I can email one guild and make sure they are not overrun with certain supplies and in desperate need of other supplies as well as ask them about the other guild in town that does not have web connections.
