My quilting has definitely been a journey, not always a smooth and easy one either. There have been many many bumps in the road. I can look at the colors of the quilts I have been working on, and tell you just where I am on that journey Its fun to look back and see which ones felt sunny, and which felt like clouds were forming, and which ones I made during the storm. Right now its stormy, and my colors seem to reflect the darkness. Do you find this true on your journey as well?

I have been always told "It's your quilt you can do whatever you want with it " So have followed that rule and have always been happy with my results... Imagine others may not like what I like but it's mine...

Very insightful! And the best part is, we're all in this journey together :)

Too cool! And what a wonderful journey it is. Even though we may approach it in different ways, we are still one great group.

Quilting? Hand, of course. Machine fancy. Machine plain. Tie the thing!

What a relief that is! Personally I look for the answer that affirms what I wanted to do anyway and deem it the RIGHT answer!

I've decided that we are all on a journey with our quilts. Some of us are in different stages of the journey; others are traveling different roads; some travel solo; some travel in groups - but, we are all headed the same place. A place that allows our creativity to flourish, our families to be warmed, and our love to show. How cool is that?
What a wonderful analogy! It sounds like the beginning of a book about quilting!!! Are you a writer, too???? Thanks for sharing. My feeling exactly!
