Yes, as long as you did smaller stitches then normal, just sit down and watch TV and do a few blocks at a time.

Or a waterbrush. It's a brush with a reservoir for water.

Many thanks for the suggestions. I'll be trying them out this weekend. By the way, my stitch was set at 1.8 length.

I use this philosophy with paper piecing.

Yup, use a short stitch length then just prior to tearing the paper run the blunt edge of a small paint brush (or similar object) over each seam. That is a beautiful design, I can see why it took a year to do. What colors did you use? Please post pictures!!

I do not stress either - little pieces dissolve after washing and do not hinder the quilting. The JN papers are thin and remove easily, in my opinion. When I do PP from EQ7 and use copy paper, I use a moistened QTip to run down the seam - let it sit for a few moments - then it rips out effortlessly.

All great ideas : small stitches, wet q-tip, thumb on seam, tweezers but I am going to try the tracing wheel next time.

Or, instead of stitching through the paper, fold it on the line and stitch right next to it. I've been doing this for several years now and it works very well.

I remove paper piecing papers while watching TV - makes the job less tedious.
