oh yes, I think so! The extra space is great. It does a beautiful stitch, isn't fussy about brands of thread. I've had mine almost 2 years now and still love it! I never fuss with the tension either. The only thing I added to improve it was a strip of LED lights (got mine at Inspired LED).

I do have one of these machines - I wouldn't say my machine quilting is better per say - but it's much easier because of the ease of use. If you do a lot of FMQ it's worth the investment in my opinion...it's also got a larger throat so if you like quilt your own large quilts you should be able to smoosh those babies in there!
