Thank you toverly I will give that foot a try. I always wonder why one always sees directions that say to sew with a scant quarter inch seam, yet sewing machine companies other than Pfaff who makes a scant 1/4" foot only make straight 1/4" feet.

I'm so glad you asked this question! And so nice to talk to someone from Alaska.

I have this machine... and usually just line up my fabric with the edge of the foot and all is well. If I need to sew a more scant seam, I follow the first line on the throat plate. The Juki throat plate has all kinds of lines for different width seams. You can use those as your guide, rather than the foot.

I have a Juki 2010Q and use a vinyl stick-on guide rather than relying on my foot for a scant quarter inch. Go to Amazon and search for "Alicias Attic Qtools Sewing Edge Purple". This is one of my must-haves for quilting!!
