OK now I have to ask. My new Juki hat a throat plate on that is not even with the table top. shouldn't it be even? PLEASE HELP.
Your dealer should be helping you with this and answering your questions.

How far below the tabletop does your needle plate sit?

My machine came with the Juki slider top that covers the entire table (excluding the add on wings). The 1/16" thick slider brings the needle plate even with slider surface. One dealer I visited sold the slider separately, but mine was included with the machine, so I'm not sure about the cost.

It also looks like the machine has little black feet on the corners. I don't know if these are attached to the machine or were added by the dealer when he set the machine up in my home because I've never lifted the machine.
