If you read the instructions that came with the Shape Cut it shows you how to cut strips, squares, triangles, diamonds, fringe, hexagons, chevrons, & bias strips. So it definitely does more than cut strips.

    It does !

Thanks for all your comments. I ended up ordering the Shape Cut Pro from Amazon for $51.99 with free shipping. It's easier and cheaper than driving 80 miles round trip to get one from JoAnns.

What are the make of your other rulers? As an experienced quilter I wouldn't recommend that you stick with the same maker of ruler that you currently use. That's an awful lot of money. If your going to spend this amount of money on ruler stick to one brand.

Since the OP i realized that i have been using my shape cut pro for every quilt now. I love 2 1/2" strips for binding. For me, it was definitely worth it. I've even used it for making a bag.

It's the best ruler investment i have made so far.

$83 bucks and I gotta say if you car cutting strips it beats moving the ruler and trying not to wiggle the fabric at every whoosh!
Interesting.....why does the same ruler/ cutter cost $51.99 at Walmart and Joann fab lists $83 on line only purchase? Just shows how the coupons at Joann are bogus....prices inflated and using coupon just prices products at regular price....
