    I just purchased the new Brother Limited Edition Laura Ashley sewing machine... I am so excited with my new addition... Although I notice that most of you own Janomes, Viking and Bernina... I had to stay within my budget... what a difference moving up in the times... my other machine is a Pfaff 1151... but since quilting now, needed more features..more throat space... I like the free motion options.. can't afford a longarm nor to send them out... working toward retirement so can quilt more.... Was wondering if there are many others out there that have a Brother... any FYI's ?

    I was just looking at that machine online! Please let us know how you like it after sewing on it for some time. It seems like a great machine.

    I have two inexpensive Brother machines (one is just sewing, the other is sewing/embroidery) and never had a bit of trouble with either.

    Did you purchase it locally or online?

    I love my brother machines! There are several things you can take from me in this life, but 3 things that will NEVER be taken away from me are 1. my salvation in Jesus 2. my prescription medications and 3. my brother sewing machine!

    Congrats ! I've heard only good things about that machine, and the Baby Lock version of it, the Symphony. I remember it came with a lot of accessories that are usually extra to buy.

    I have an inexpensive Singer, a Bernette (the cheaper version made by Berina) a Brother CS 60 that I would like to sell, and a Brother XL 3750, which is inexpensive, and I bought a Singer Athens 1200 at a thrift store that works great !

    I love my Bernette and my Brother 3750, both have proven to be great little machines. I've just started quilting and haven't yet quilted on these machines other than samples and mug rugs......maybe ONE day I might have a really nice super machine that has all the bells and whistles, but then again if you've never had bells and whistles you don't know what you are missing !

    I had a former neighbor that designed and made exercise and swim wear for men; he sells on the internet and does very well. He uses the $100 Singer from WM for a couple of years then throws it away and buys another. He said that the Singer stretch stitch worked well for him.

    I tested my Bernette on a couple of rag quilts and it did well, even with all of the lint. At the moment I have Brother 3750 and my Benette on my sewing table (which is also known as my dining room table) and alternate uses depending on what color thread I need at the moment.

    Brother machines are my favorite--they are totally awesome. I have one that has been a work horse for 22 years and still humming right along. My next machine is a Brother--still saving!!

    I LOVE this machine. I use it almost everyday. Great machine and the shop I bought it from has great people.

    I purchased it as at my local Quality sewing and Vac store.. the fair is going on and this is a fair special.. also will be receiving a Brother serger.. was a perk mail in rebate.. that came with it...everything I have played with on this is great... I am like a kid in a candy store... so many options... easy touch screen and it a easy to read size... .
