I just look at the opposite row. I think the final top came out superb!
I was going to suggest since you are keeping the original quilt/pattern/design, just use it. Leave it in the room with you when you work and use it as your reference.

Can you take a picture of it, then on your computer "flip" the picture to get a mirror image? Good luck!

Why can't you take your pattern, and re number the rows backwards?

Take a picture of the back of the quilt. That should give you the reverse pattern??????

What if you made the same quilt then turned it so the bottom is the top? That is a reverse image of sorts. LOL

I didn't use a pattern. But I have made myself a sort of chart and after I get the current quilt top quilted, I will start the second one. It will go quicker than the first, because I am not trying to figure out what I want the quilt to look like.

I want to do a big B quilt. I have been making quilts for a hundred years! lol well I am 81 and have been piecing and etc since I was a teenager. So you do the numbers. I have never tried to do a bargello. I have several books and keep looking. Also my stash resembles a fabric store. So what is my problem.? The quilt police? lol

I suspect you have lots of projects going or ones that you want to do. A Bargello just isn't high up on the list enough....YET!
