Very nice. Like how you used the football material.

    Adorable!!!!!

    Very clever.Love it

Very cute! I would use a flannel on the back.

    very cute.

Some little boy will love your quilt

Instead of the blue, I would go with the dark maroon and bind with the black. If you put a blue it's gonna look like a different quilt starting wouldn't it? What do I know.ha

Great job and great choice of fabric.

I have a grandson who would love it

Very nice especially for a charity quilt.

I love it...and love the thought you put into it. I have some football fat qtrs just like that and had no idea what I am going to do with it. Now this gives me something to think about.

very cool. I think I will try it with some strips I have sitting unattended on my stash.

In my opinion, there isn't enough blue in the quilt to justify a blue border. It would be jarring to the eye. Do you have enough of any of the other colors? The football themed fabric would be great! Otherwise, any of the darker colors would work: maroon, green, or even the yellow. I'd stay away from the brown next to black. If you're out of these colors, try a green print that matches the green in the quilt. Anything but floral, 'cause it a "guy quilt". Or a maroon print. Then use that for the backing. Just a suggestion.

Have a great day, and let us know what you decide!

I like it...Great use of fabrics and colors.

Nice quilt and the boy that gets this will love it. For the border I would go with MacThayer's suggestions. JMHO. Thanks for sharing.

Nice quilt, I might pick up the yhellow or green for the borders, maybe even both and do a yellow inner and green outer borders.

Love it. Great Fabric some little bot would love to have that on his bed.

Great quilt. Someone will really love it to death. I vote for flannel for the backing to make it nice and snuggly.

    Nice...really like it..

Thanks everyone for all the kind words and suggestions. I'm planning on going to Joann's Tuesday or Wednesday to see what I can find.

The yellow is actually a floral print but you really can't tell unless you look real close. The ladies at my Joann's are great at helping pick out fabric. So as soon as I finish it I'll let you all see the finished product.

I've already got the next quilt cut out. The next couple of tops I'm planning on making don't have the borders or backing fabrics so I'm figuring I'll kill 3 quilts with one trip I hope. I usually always buy all the fabrics for the cheaper by the 1/2 dozen quilts I do but found some adorable fat quarters when they've been on sale and went ahead and got them.

    Thanks again everyone!!!

    Hugs!

I agree with Quiltingcandy. I would back it in flannel.
