I just like to select and cut my own fabric. That said, there are some absoluely lovely quilts that people make with the pre-cuts. Maybe someday....

I love charms..If I wanted to do an actual charm quilt ,I would have to buy a lot to have so many different squares...The definition of an actual CHARM QUILT, is to have no 2 squares or pieces alike...
I only do die cuts, The handcuts can be way off sometimes..My favorite is the apple cor piece..I have made several of those...

I done some math at JoAnns and even at 50% off they still cost double for yardage -I can buy twice as much this way So I say they can keep those pre-cuts

I don't buy that stuff either, I have heard how some may not be cut just right.

Cindy I prefer cutting my own yardage. I want to see and feel the fabrics I use.

I bought a jelly roll and made a cape from them. They had to be cut in varying lengths but worked worderfully. I loved it. I have also made a big bag from charms.

I'm not much of a pre-cut person. The same holds true for scrap booking. I've never liked pre-cut paper packs, etc. Control, control, control...

Same here, I bought turnovers now I don't know how to put them together, There are some really ugly ones.. .
Bought 2 1/2 strips not enough to make a pattern. I will never buy precuts again.

I guess I am a control freak. Anything that takes the process out of my hands makes me uncomfortable. Also not having 'free-rein' with my own fabric choices bothers me.

Am I the only one who feels this way?
I don't trust pre cut fabric...Seen 2 kits short on fabric...read about Bali precut and and another cut wrong!!!

Also expensive compaired to yardage.....same with fat quarters....extra $.50 to make a second cut...that all adds up....
