What color would you suggest in place of the green? Gold, orange?

Well, it seems it isn't "just you" however, I think some of us like a lot of different olives too. I suspect the actual quilt would have more life than the picture.

I am partial to greens myself, and while I love to look at blues and purples, they are not colors I am comfortable to live with. I think think it is very interesting how color can affect us individually, don't you?

Just an aside, our neighbors went to take up some avocado green shag carpet in their living room, found out the house, which was modular, had been carpeted BEFORE the interior walls were put up. So the carpet went under the inside walls. What a mess.

are you kidding?.....who does that kind of stupid thing? Never in my life heard of doing that.
Reminds me of our first apartment, a two-room efficiency fully furnished. There was this butt-ugly hide-a-bed in the living room/bedroom. The landlady said we could toss it to give us more space. Except we couldn't get it through the door... or the window. Turns out they built the apartment around the furniture! Took a sledgehammer to get it apart. But to put walls on top of carpet?!? That's just plain stupid.

Now, as for the QUILT. Keep the blues/purples, trade the greens for something else... pinks? No, green... just something brighter & springier (is that a word?lol). It's a gorgeous pattern, and you're just the quilter to tackle it. Can't wait to see your take.

Doesn't look like a color combo I would make either.

You could just send it to me then you wouldn' t have to look at that ugly old thing! Seriously, I love, love those colors and the pattern and your piercing are phonomal. I think it is a fabulous quilt. Guess I'm in the minority. I really hope it "grows on you" since you have so much time and money invested in it.

there are no bad colors, only colors that we do not like in that application, or are not our favorites. Think about a lot of the Baltimore applique quilts and the colors in them, olive green would be right at home.:)

I think the colors and pattern are beautiful, but others would be nice as well.

You could just buy the pattern if you like it and change the colors to whatever you want!
