I could not agree MORE!!!!!I subscribe to 2 magazines.....I force myself to look through them so I am not totally wasting my money. The talent on this board is awesome! The information you can obtain on this board is unbelievable. I am so glad I found this place.

I agree too. Being a new quilter I subscribed to several quilting magazines. Then I discovered this wonderful site with so many helpful posts and pictures that I don't plan on renewing my subscriptions. Now if I could just get them to quit sending me their reminders to renew!

magazines don't offer feedback on your work and give you the encouragement to keep creating your own unique things! as a new quilter, i need interaction with people to soak up all the info i can! i get that here, not in magazine pages.

I totally agree with you. I only get one quilting magazine usually just for patterns but when I want some real info, this is the place to come. Everyone is always so eager to be able to help as well. I am so happy that my friend told me about this site. It's how I begin every day!!

You know I was thinking the same thing last time i llooked to buy a magazine...is it me or are these mags just full of these super simple no brainer square in a square or squares around squares or sqaures next to squares patterns.
I can undertand squares being modern etc. but just seems like the mags are dumming down. I can understand them wanting new quilters with easy patterns but feel like those of us looking for more intricate designs have been left in the cold.

I have bought only 1 quilting book. I was quite discouraged, most of it was advertizements. There were a few really nice quilts also, but, can't compare to our quilting board. Such beautiful work. I can gain more knownlege from our board. Thanks to all !

I used to subscribe to 3 magazines but let them all lapse because aside from running out of room, literally I found they were getting same old same old. Also less info and more ads. That was before I even had a computer. I used to haunt the library but now I don't even have to leave home.
I can't remember how I found the QB but I am so glad I did. To every one here, thank you.

I agree with everyone of you. I was very lost when they were working on the website. Very happy with all the information I have found here.
