May we use a print fabric when making the "Just One Star" quilt block for the soldiers?
    Thank you

If you read the directions they are not specific, so I would say go with it. I used a batik with stars in one of mine. I just wouldn't want to use a large print in such a small block. Use your good judgment.

The quilt shown in the link has small prints used more than solids. I used small prints, myself...

I think it's up to you.

I like leaving the back layer, because then even my top flying geese piece isn't perfectly lined up, I can line up the BACK, which I know is square (or rectangular, lol) and my block turns out accurately.

Do we know about how big the blocks finish? I'm thinking 12"? I know they don't want us to trim, fine, no problem. I just want to know what I'm shooting for, ya know?

I cut those points off, sew them together and have a half square triangle to put in my stash box. Can't waste.
