My "Block" came today. I agree with everything Peace and Joy said about the magazine and the folks at MSQC. I'm looking forward to more issues. The quotes on some of the pages make it really fun!

I finally received my copy of "Block" today and absolutely love it. The quality is excellent, and it is so far and above the other magazines there is just no comparison. As meyert said, it really is more like a soft cover book since it is bound, unlike magazines. And absolutely NO ads! I can see myself building a library of "Block" issues. (Can you tell I really really like it???) Now I can hardly wait for the next issue!!!

I live in Texas and haven't received my magazine. Any other Texan received theirs? Been reading such good things about it I am really getting anxious to get mine.

ladies and gents, think about it...either we pay a tad more "per year", or they HAVE to have ads.
They can't give the magazines away. Could we? I can't.
I just ignore most ads. There is a lot to be said for quality and Jenny Doan is a quality person.

The last quilt patterns I have bought have been $9 each. Some more. The Block magazine has 10 nice patterns with a video for each pattern. I saved $84 buying the $6 magazine. If I want to stretch the positive thinking then that gives me $84 to spend on fabric to make the quilts! I like to think in fun.

It's $5.99 every other month and I emailed them about my book without a reply

I didn't save $84 because I wouldn't have bought these patterns at all, much less for $9 each. I like a couple of them so I guess it's still a decent deal. Not great and I probably won't buy it again.
