I think all but one of the patterns uses pre-cuts or a combo of pre-cuts and yardage. The last pattern in the publication is Jacob's Ladder and it lists only yardage. You can always make your own precuts or modify the cutting to suit yardage though I would think.

Taste of Home, etc are now owned, and have been for quite a while, by Reader's Digest. F &P are part of Keepsake Quilting. Nothing stays the same!

I just tried placing order for print copy of Volume 1 of block and page with total in my cart added $5.00 for shipping!!! So the cost of the mag would be $10.99!!! That's quite an expensive magazine!!!

I don't think it is a hefty cost. It is just a little more than 1/2 the price per issue of most quilt magazines. I am going to let my subscription to Love of Quiting expire. It is more ads than anything else. Block is all quilt patterns and instructions and a couple of "how to" sections in each issue. I think it is a great value for the money.
What magazines do you buy? Other than special issues, all of the ones I've seen around here are around $6 or $7.

When Taste of Home first started they didn't have any advertisements. I loved the first ones.

    I love Martha Stewart.
