    Default Just returned

Just returned from the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Fest. What a treat for the eyes! So many beautiful and inspiring quilts. So many wonderful gadgets to buy. Tired, sore feet but enjoying the memory of a great day!

Actually I didn't buy much at all - one pattern and a ruler. Mostly went to drool over the quilts on display.

Sounds like you had a good time and got inspired. There is some kind of quilt show/expo coming to Austin in...oh wait. I may have missed it. Ugh. Can't remember where I saw the ad. Guess I won't be going...thought it was mid-Feb and well, it's mid-Feb.

Helovesme - you still have time it is running this weekend. It is the new Modern quilt show, I couldn't make it but am anxious to hear some of the reviews from friends who were able to go.
QuiltCon will be held February 21-24, 2013, at the Austin Convention Center

A thing like an embroidery hoop only much heavier that you lay on your quilt and use it to slide the quilt around under the needle on a regular sewing machine. Also a ruler that has a sticky back that is guaranteed to never loose it's stick and that you can wash with Dawn dish liquid to remove dirt. I bought one of them and we'll see if it does what they say. Oh and a system to hang quilts on your wall with magnets but it was pricey - too much for me!
