Default Just starting to sew my purple Labyrinth Walk

I am just getting started sewing on my purple Labyrinth Walk. I asked earlier if I should be using a scant 1/4 inch whenever it was possible, and just in case anyone else wants to know what I learned, the answer is yes. Much of the time I am making half square triangles, and it doesn't come into play when making those...or at least not any way that I have figured out.

Anyway, I have one block completed. I have learned a lot. I have a few areas I need to improve on and I need to iron better, but so far I am pleased.

See... The picture is sideways, but I don't think that matters at this stage.

Very nice!! Good to know about the scant 1/4". Looking forward to seeing the quilt as it progresses.

Very pretty. I know it is probably an optical illusion, but the picture makes your block very un-square. Have you measured it to be sure it is the size you need?

I don't really know what size it is supposed to be, but I just measured it. It is 22 1/4 inches square. This will be a queen sized quilt. I have 8 more blocks to go. Five are like this and then four of another design. Then they have to be connected somehow. I am just taking it one step at a time, relieved that I finally got all of the pieces cut and could start sewing.

Thanks for making me measure though.

Thanks for posting this info. I want to make this quilt for my son eventually and it's always nice to get "inside" information. Your colors choices will make for a great effect too
