I have made several for each season-and use them on the table, one on my portable dishwasher, over an antique trunk, over a buffet, etc. I love making them, and often give them as gifts.

I told honey I was gonna make one and showed him a pic of one on here and his response was "oh geesh that!" So I wont be making one. I like some of them, but I have a problem with things on the tables and clutter. My kitchen table has a tablecloth on it thats it. My end tables, one coaster and a lamp.

I made several, some for seasons/holidays. Quilts are quilts, any size. It's nice to do a smaller project once in a while. I even made them for my mother for the whole year and gave them to her for Christmas a few years back. She likes changing them and they look so nice on her antique tables. She really appreciated my time and thoughfulness.

My daughter likes to use them in the living room draped on the back of the chairs for an instant change up.

I like to make mine a bit longer than usual, so they hang down off the ends of the table. It looks really pretty from a distance. And sometimes I move them to across the bottom of the bed as an extra decoration (or foot-warmer this time of year!). I also have them on my buffet in the dining room, on bedroom dressers, and between the two sinks in the bathroom. I love to do small projects, and half of the fun is finding a place to put them when they are finished!

I use them all the time as well on the formal dining room table. Some are crochet, some just pretty fabric and a few quilted ones. I'm a Yorkie Mom also.

My daughter works at Walter Reed Army hospital. She said they are always in need of quilts for the soldiers who have had leg amputations or injuries. The quilts need to be darker colored because of seepage. There are specific charities for quilts for soldiers.

I love them. Except I never use on the kitchen table, too cluttered, but they are used to decorate. Even have one on my dresser!

I have a round table so agree with you. However, I practice quilting on potholders and placemats which I do use.
