I have many things to keep my ruler from slippin when cutting WOF strips. What is the best method to use to prevent this? Thanks.

I had to smile when I saw your question. Just yesterday I put sandpaper dots on the back of one of my rulers. And sure enough that sand paper will keep a ruler from slipping, OR sliding. You litterally have to pick your ruler up after a cut and place it down fairly exactly when you use the sandpaper. I'm not sure I'm happy with the solution but it does work.

I also have used the sandpaper dots on my ruler and i like how it stops the ruler from slipping. I also seen on a quilt show the lady was using a very fine grade of sandpaper to prevent the material from sliding, when she was drawing a line through the material of a square from corner to corner.

I use "Invisi-Grip". It comes in a small roll/sheet (maybe 12 x 24 or something, don't have a new package right now to check), you can cut the size you need, peel off the backing and place it on your rulers. It's clear and is a static-cling kind of product, so you can move it. I have it on the backs of all my rulers. When you apply pressure, it doesn't slip while you're cutting. On the smaller rulers, I cover the whole back. On larger ones, just use several strips. I learned about this in my very first quilting class and I'm hooked.

In craft/ quilting stores like JoAnn, there are these little adhesive dots near the quilt rulers and triangles. I buy these and stick them to the wrong side of my fabric. They don't mar the more delicate fabrics. I also used a couple for kitchen cutting board feet! :)
