Another one of my friends takes a picture and a piece of all the fabric of every quilt (she sews 1" x 3" strips together) and puts it in a 3 ring binder. It is kind of neat to go through her notebook to see all she has done.

I'm sure any size block will do, she makes them all into 10" blocks.

I am so glad you shared this idea. I have a few kits to make. Hope there is enough extra to make a block. Guess it could be a small one.

I make a small doll size quilt with the scraps of each quilt.

Well I'm only 2 quilts behind. I think it is a great idea. I think I will start doing that also..

I also take pictures of each quilt and most of the swap blocks I've made. I lost a bunch of pictures when hubby decided to upgrade our server two different times so now I keep back up copies of my copies! All my quilts are on Facebook now but not the smaller projects--tablerunners, potholders, placemats, etc.

At one time i started making a miniature block of each quilt i made, lol that did not last long. They were so much harder to make than the big blocks. I have 3 blocks somewhere. Now i just take a picture, sometimes save a few scraps.
