I have never had a problem with either of the companies. Both offer great fabric and service.

Love Keepsake Quilting and they always have lots to choose from. Only drawback for me is they are a little pricey but good quality.

Only issue I have run into is some of the fabrics vary by weight, so when you are using several different fabrics in a quilt you have to be a little careful since some can be lightweight and others medium weight, even though they are all cotton.
Not true, not even close! Keepsake calico, sold at JoAnn's has nothing to do with Keepsake Quilting...nothing at all! See this message from Rob OBrian, the KQ President, posted last year to clarify this misconception. http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-33801-2.htm#716712

KQ sells only LQS quality fabrics...Kaufman, Hoffman, Moda, etc. It's not possible that their scrap bags are of a lesser quality because they do not have any 'lesser quality' fabrics available.

Well . . . I still think "quality" is in the eye of the beholder. If the fabric that arrives is thin and transparent I really don't compare that to LQS quality. Also, the scrap bag I ordered didn't have even one of the fabrics shown in the picture and in fact, 80% of them really weren't what I expected at all. Ugly colors and ugly patterns. If half of the fabrics would have looked like the picture either in pattern or in color, I wouldn't have been so disappointed. But I have ordered many other things from them before and have loved them. I just was very disappointed with the scrap bag.

They are wonderful! I actually purchased the materials for my first ever quilt there at the store--they happen to be right where my grandparents used to live, it is so much fun to go there with my DBF's mother and aunt and just drool.

Their fabric is equal if not better than Connecting Threads.

I order from both regularly. Books, thread, notions, fabric by the yard and in kits. I think they have a better quality of fabric than Connecting Threads, but books are cheaper through C/T. Have always been extremely please with speed in receiving orders from both. Happy Stitchin' !!

They have very, very nice fabric of the highest quality. You can't go wrong ordering from them. However, they are expensive. Much more so than Connecting Threads. If your pocketbook doesn't object you might try them.

I just placed an order with Keepsake Quilting on May 4, 2011 - they sent me an email last night saying my order has shipped. I felt I needed to post this as some folks have said they have not had good luck with them shipping promptly. I can't speak to anyone elses experience but mine has been great!
