I made a grandmothers flower garden quilt that was quite large..... 100 x115 but I wanted it to be long enough to cover the blankets underneath and I wanted to be able to tuck my pillows in.

    Thanks.

I make mine around 115x115. It is the biggest I feel comfortable doing with the standard 120x120 king size batting. I liked 100x100 when we had a queen size bed. Those will work on the king size in a pinch, but the don’t give us enough drop for 2 people to move around.

I agree the ones I've made I made 110 or larger so they hang down some and not just cover the top of bed.

    Thank you all.

This quilt is a surprise gift for a family member that lives outside of the country. So I don't have a way to know how tall is her bed. I only know it is king size.

It's a chart of quilt sizes with various drop/tuck options. If it doesn't come through just google 'quilt sizes with drop and tuck'

    Good Luck!
thank you so much. This chart will be very handy.

The last queen sized quilt I made was 110 square, my friend wanted it to hang to the frame.

I made a Calif. King quilt, but I didn't want it to cover the pillows because I made pillow cases to match the quilt and sit on top.
