    My first machine, an old Kenmore, had a knee control. It took forever for me to adjust to a foot pedal - Muscle memory is a powerful thing!

    I'm with you on wishing there were a way to have the knee "accelerator". My Singer 401 is in a cabinet that has the setup. But even if you could find the right cabinet, the foot pedal with the newer machines wouldn't work with the older setup. I wonder if the newer cabinets offer anything like that for the new machines?
