I just spotted what appears to be a tumbling block in the center of the top two squares (actually I can see at least two of them), the way the pieces are laid out it seems like the pattern may have gone askew in assembly?

It appears to me that the fabrics in this block are old. Possibly flour sacks. But what I really wanted to mention is that over the ages quilt patterns have be designed by people with a bit of imagination. This block could very well have been drawn by by the woman who sewed it.
I've got one pattern I designed for my own purpose. Very likely there's one quite similar somewhere. So, what I really wanted to say-----------don't sweat finding a name. Chart it for your records, name it after the woman who made it and enjoy.
