Default Koala cabinet and Bernina 7 series

I am looking at purchasing a used Koala cabinet. It is one of the new cabinet styles but it must have been built in 2009 before they upgraded the lift to the G2 electric glide as it only had one slide for the electric lift on the right hand side. When I thought it was the G2 lift, I didn’t think it would be a problem for my Bernina 770, but now I am worried about vibration and stability. Does anyone have experience with a larger machine on the G1 electric lift from Koala? Thank you!

Might want to ask your Bernina Dealer. I loved the way mine worked with me with the 550 Bernina purchase; actually putting the extended Sewing machine table for it together before we picked it up. (It was shipped in pieces to put together by us or the shop.) Good luck to you; I hope some one will have a better idea to help you.

Welcome to the QB. I have a Koala table with a spring lift for my 770 , both purchased in 2017 and it’s a great set up. I don’t get any vibration that I know of and it is very sturdy.

Thank you everyone for your help. I ended up calling Koala and talking it through with them. (They were very nice and willing to help even though I am buying a used product!) I'm going to get the table. I am so excited to finally be moving off the card table I've been using for the last 8 years!

I think you will be very happy with it...I love having my machine flush to the table rather than up on the top. Let us know how it works for you.

You are going to love sewing on this!! I have a Koala and a Bernina 750QE (gift from DH for my 60th birthday)... Mine isn't the electric lift, but a spring-loaded (I think) sort of lift. Having all that flat surface when quilting...or really any projects) is just a blessing!! Have fun!!
