    Default Kona cotton

I would like to buy a few plain colors of Kona cotton. What is an average price per/yd. Where am I apt to find the best price on line?? I have not seen it at my LQS. Thanks.

Be sure you look at the bolt end at both JoAnn's and Hancock's to make sure it is Robert Kaufman KonaŽ Cotton. If it doesn't say Robert Kaufman on the bolt end, it isn't the real KonaŽ cotton and is generally inferior in quality. Hancock's of Paducah also sells it for $5.98 per yard, or $4.78 per yard if you buy 3 yards or more of the same color.

I have purchased from fabric.com many, many times and have never had any issues with them. I have talked with customer service a couple of times and they are top notch. Plus, FREE shipping if purchasing over $35!!

Absolutely true. I bought what I thought was Robert Kaufman Kona and it frayed so bad, almost to the point of shredding, and was difficult to work with. I compared it to what I knew was Robert Kaufman Kona that I had in my stash and instantly I could tell the difference. I won't make that mistake again! Robert Kaufman brand is reasonably priced so I won't bother with the off Kona anymore.

I think Hobby Lobby usually has it, for about the price already mentioned.

I bought a bolt, 20 yards of James Thompson Flannel from Joanns...I would not recommend it...I am using it since I have so much of it, but it tears very easily....I really wish I had not purchased it. I hope it holds up for the folks that I have given quilts to.
