    Default Label Question

I forgot to put label on back and put it on front instead. This quilt is for me so guess I can live with it, but not too happy with it being on front, but had already made label and meant for it to be on back, but just forgot to put it on before I put binding on. So, my question is: Could you live with it like that or would you? Would you make another and put on back? Front binding is not stitched down yet, just glued and pressed.

I think you answered your own question. You don't like it on the front, so if you can move it to make yourself happy, then go for it. I solved the label issue by never putting one on any quilts! I hope the quilt police don't find me, haha.

I agree with StitchRipper. If it bothers you, move it! Why spend years thinking I wish I hadn't put it on the front.

I would move it to the back or simply not label this particular quilt. It would bug me.

Personally, I think it looks good where it is! But it is your quilt. If you can move it to the back and not leave a mess on the front, Do It to make yourself happy.
I have a quilt I once make for an auction that I liked enough to bid until I got the quilt back. Every time I see the special label, I pray for the group for which I first made the quilt.

Now’s the time to change it if it’s bugging you.

Thanks for responses. Can't live with it so it's off the front and to the back(made another label), and binding all stitched down. Done. Best and fastest fix ever.

My grandma (a crocheter) always said it’s best to fix an error as soon as you find it. If you keep going it just means there’s more to undo to fix it.

Could I live with it? Nope, I would be busy "unstitching" and replacing the tag on the back. I also use the triangle tag, and it is really not an extreme amount of work to get that little bug-a-boo on the back of the quilt.

When I make quilts that I know I will be giving away sometime in the future, I leave a space for the triangle tag and put it on later.
