    I'd echo the inner portion of the snowball block - you could space one, two or three echoes depending on how big your block centre is and how far apart you can quilt. Quick and easy!

    I would think you could do diagonal lines or even cross hatching in the blocks

    A diagonal grid in the sheep snowballs would be cute. You can make them parallel to the snowballed corners.

    The 'experts' always say to "divide and conquer", when dealing with quilting a large space.

    Your lambs are adorable, Zozee.
    If you would like to try several designs without sewing them first, you can always first draw the design you are considering on a plastic sleeve protector laid over your block. I use dry erase markers for this, but you have to be very careful not to get any of that on your fabric. Any clear plastic works for this, & you can try lots of different things before committing.
