Do both. Five hours is a long time. Walk to the start line, (Before you go check and LQS and their hours), Go check out a store or two, go to the room and sew, and go back to the finish line. It may take longer than 5 hours, you never know.

Doesn't sound crazy to me. I assume that you are going to cheer her on at the finish line!!!

Is it a 26 miler your better half is running? My daughter runs those. I'm pooped just thinking about it.

Suggestion for your time - find out if anyone here on the board lives in the area and it would give you a chance to meet and maybe hop a couple of shops together. It's fun meeting others from the board.

Not lame. I'm a total planner...I would google LQS's ....scope them out, have a route planned so I could visit whatever looked interesting. Then, I'd be tired from shop hopping and spending money and would retire to my room with my machine :) See? That way you can enjoy both.

And it'll be much more relaxing than what the runner is doing!!!
