You can always take it. You don't have to use it! i use to travel with my job and I took mine everywhere.
If there are good shops in the area....leave the machine in the car. But to answer your question...No, you are not crazy!! You are just a quilter!!

I'd go for the LQS as you probably don't go there often ? Where were you be able to sew at? Take a breath and enjoy the scenery!

I would do both, you should have plenty of sewing and shopping time. Enjoy yourself.

That is just making excellent use of your time. :)

I agree 100%........... You should be at the starting and finishing line. You might never get to see it again, life is short. My DD was suppose to run the Chicago Marathon this past year. After her brain injury who knows if she will ever be able to do it. Don't sew, don't go to LQS be on the sidelines and just enjoy the moment.
Yeah luckily this is "family" time with the sister. So I really am just there as a car companion for the 8 hour drive. :) It's kind their thing, and I do go for the starting of the race, but then with all the commotion etc, they are like, we'll call you to meet us when we're done.

I traveled for business all over the states in my past working life. For every town I visited, I printed out all the info on the LQS's and hit everyone I had time for. My coworkers were out having steaks and I was SHOPPING. PS this also saved my waistline as well. Have a great time!!

Explore the area. That way, you might buy some more fabric and you'll have more to work on when you get home. You never know when you will find a treasure
