So my better half is running in a marathon in Bloomington, IN this weekend. I was thinking about packing up a plastic tote and my sewing machine and taking it with me. I will have about 5 hours worth of alone time and it would be perfect to get my pinwheel quilt top done....Does that seem CRAZY? Or should I just visit LQS's while I'm there?

I'd go for the LQS if you don't get to that city often.

If it were me, I would do a search on what LQS's are in the area. If it looked like there were some really good ones I would plan on looking/shopping. Otherwise I would bring my machine.
Perhaps some of the members here will know of some LQS's in the area. Have a good time. :-D

I would explore too, but if you are like me, you will need to take some extra money because you know you are going to find something you can't go home without (lol)

EXACTLY - Which is why me staying in my room sewing might be kinder on my wallet. :)

I'm with everyone else. If it's an area you don't go to very often, definitely take in the sights - those sights being the LQS's! And then, of course, report back to us what you found!!!!
