Hi, Everyone! Ive been reading but this is my first foray into the forum, glad to be here.
I bought an Ott floor lamp last fall, one of the antique brass looking ones with the adjustable height and the shade that looks like alabaster. I was pleased with it, especially since it was on sale and I got it for $40! The thumb screw that holds the lamp at the height you want is stripped, and won't hold the light up high enough to work on my projects. Does anyone know where I can get parts? The Ott website didn't give any info about parts, just sales.
    Thanks for your help/suggestions

I would take the lamp to a hardware store and ask them for help. I have done this when my twin DGS's lost all of the screws to Mama's steam cleaner when she had to take it apart LOL They were very knowledgeable and helpful :D:D:D

Hi, My Ott lamp was the very same way! My husband just put in a different screw. He is a 'hardware store' type of guy.

I'm sure you can get a screw that will work but that must be frustrating.

Take the screw to a hardware store and tell them you need one of those and explain that it's stripped. They'll help you, especially if it's a "local" hardware store and not a big-box one.
