What about decoration over a coffee table or side table? Or decoration anywhere??

I use lap quilts year around on my couches. I like them to be around 60" by 60". My husband covers up under them, too.

A nursing home would love the donation.

There are many places that could use lap quilts. Try your local hospital or nursing homes.

I would also agree with donating to hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, etc. Especially to nursing homes; some old folks get chilled easily, and they like to cover up even when the heat is turned up high in the building. Lap quilts are the perfect size to not get tangled up with wheelchairs, and they're not too big for the person to readjust without help if they're not very mobile.

My granddaughter and her Girl Scout Troop made lap quilts for the local nursing home. They had so much fun they want to do it again next year. And the nursing home was so excited, the older folks like to have a little cover for their legs in their wheel chairs.
