large lap tops are a staple but I also like to do queen sized bedding quilts.

I make mostly large lap sized quilts. We carry them from bedroom to living room. I give them as gifts as well and they are always well received. Plenty big enough for everyone. I quilt them on my home sewing machine, so size matters. :-)

From 9x12 to 120x120. A wall hanging for each month (still in progress), queen for our bed, whatever size the recipient wants for gifts. Most of them have already received at least one bed quilt, so it's lots of wall hangings. Kids' quilts from preemie to teen for donations.

As of now, more lap quilts. I'm too afraid yet of quilting a big quilt.

Whatever size the 'spirit moves me to do'. Some patterns just call for a smaller size and some patterns need to be larger. I think a sofa size quilt (60 by 70) is useful because you can use folded at the foot of the bed and it makes a great cover up for taking a nap or to use on an extra chilly night.

I make mostly crib size, although I've made one queen size for my son and his (then) wife. I had to do that one by a quilt as you go method. I've made a lot of simple pattern lap quilts and have given them away with the understanding that they were made to wrap up & lie on the floor or wherever. I gave one such to a neighbor as a welcome to the block gift. he liked it so much that she hung it on her wall in the living room. I was embarrassed.

I prefer bigger quilts, full size to queen, I always think of covering myself in a cold winters nigth and be able to stretch , move, etc. without my toes , plus it always looks better on the bed. To me they more useful.
