Default Last Week Wool Batting; This Week Cashmere

Last weekend I found some wool batting at a garage sale and asked for opinions from the board. Thanks, all of you, who posted.

Yesterday I bought a cashmere blend batt at a sale. It is 95% polyester and 5% cashmere. It comes from Mountain Mist. The instructions on the bag are skimpy, but I do read that quilting should be no more than 5" apart. I am interested in hearing your experiences with this type of batt.

    Thanks!

No experience with cashmere, but with that little in the mix, I'd say treat it as any other poly.

I have been told not to bring Mountain Mist to a long arm quilter as it doesnt perform well.

You're right, there's not much info that I could find on that product, but did find this 20 pager you might want to wade through. http://www.villagequiltworks.com/ima...ttingChart.pdf

Thanks, thimblebug6000, for that reference. I will be attending a session about batting given by a Hobbs representative next month, and this will prepare me!
