Artistic works deserve frames; quilts deserve borders. Just my opinion, of course, but a border will allow the eye to focus on the beauty of the quilt blocks. What about a lighter border with a darker binding? You could pick up on the colors you've used. This is a spectacular quilt!

Thank you, for the complements and suggestions. I will post another picture when I have the top sewn together. I don't have much floor space to show it entirely. The pattern is Metro Rings by Sew kind of wonderful. Its about as close to a double wedding ring as I am going to get. Ha ha!
I had considered the darker blue for a binding, but it might be a good border.
Thanks! Gina

It depends if you want to stay traditional or not necessarily. Adding borders will take away from the curved edges a traditional Double Wedding Ring quilt has. But as with ALL rules, your quilt, your rules!!

Your quilt is going to be beautiful. Personally I like borders although I have seen many quilts lately without borders that are very pretty too. Just depends on your personal taste. Good luck! Lots of good ideas here.
