Just a couple of questions, do you pre wash the squares, and if so how without sacrificing the clean edges.
Also does anyone have a free pattern suggestion or link for a lap quilt with layer cake????

I do not prewash layer cakes. I will look through my links-I have a few bookmarked, I think.

I don't pre-wash any pre-cut fabric. It is all from the same supplier, so I figure that it will all shrink the same amount.

I just made one with the Moda layer cake, and it is called Ashley's Journey--it is easy and really cute! Just got to put a border and put the backing/binding!
There was a pattern on the pkg. that i bought, but don't remember the name and a friend borrowed it!

Do not wash pre cuts because you can't afford to lose any...especially on the charms and jelly rolls.
