I made one from layer cakes-2 I think; the pattern was the 10 minute block. I made large blocks so it went together quickly and I loved it. so did my daughter

Here's my first attempt with a layer cake - a bit busy for me but my niece I'm making it for loves it. Hope to finish it this weekend. And now that I have sewed it together I noticed I have too many of the same fabrics together.

That's a very nice quilt. I'm very sorry to hear about your problems with your credit card. Years ago my husband lost his credit card, but we couldn't close the account because there were still charges outstanding. Since it was with a credit union, he just asked for another card, then he only kept $200-$300 in that account and used it only for charges on line, which worked well, so if someone stole the card, they couldn't wipe out our account. Hope you have more fun with your layer cakes.

Check out the big star quilt tutorial by Jenny D. Missouri Star Quilt Co. The blocks make up 25inches square. It only takes 12 to make a queen size quilt with borders. I am working on one now and just love it.
