I do the same thing but I sew triangles together(light & dark)for another quilt! So much fun seeing what you can come up with!

I don't use my scraps, those I save for making scrappy quilt projects.

I use any piece of material that would otherwise go into the dog beds. A leader or enderis just a small piece of material folded over, long enough to take 3-4 or 6 stitches. If you want you can use 2 separate pieces of material. Thus you use those scraps that you cut off you block pieces.

What a great thread--thanks psumom for posting that link! I have not consistently used leaders and enders (just don't think about them) but when I do, it was just 'throw away' scraps. I love the idea of using 'planned scraps' to make a second quilt--I hate waste and inefficiency, and this is a way to overcome both!!

luvtooquilt - your quilt is just beautiful. It's like the ultimate in recycling, nothing goes to waste!

Time to get DH to cutting so I can take advantage of this idea. I like the idea of just cutting 2" squares.

As someone has already posted it is not actually a pattern, it is a method. I have enough done now to put together a blue and white scrappy. I will attempt to post a picture when I am done.
