Default Lemoyne star , which border looks best

I just came from our local Hancock fabric store and they are Closing the store so upset. But a nice sale so I picked up two choices for a border but which one looks best or do you have any other suggestions

I would try more of a solid or marbled color - more like the background fabrics - so the border doesn't compete with the center of the quilt.

I like the one on the right side! So cheerful and brings out the colors! Love it!

If these were my only choices, I'd say pick the one that brings out the color you like best. The one on the right makes the quilt more turquoise, while the bottom one makes it more yellow. But I agree with Prism99 that the floral competes with the stars. Those stars are a lot of work and I'd want them to be the focus. I would border with the turquoise background of the center-lower star.

I agree with the solid border idea. Maybe the turquoise or the blue that's in your sashing. Lovely quilt!

I agree. Either of these would work for the backing.

I kind of like the bottom one best but like wesing said it depends on the colors you want to bring out. Either one would work. I do think though that I would only use either of the cute busy prints as a small inner border and use a solid to bring out the stars. Do you have any more of the turquoise? That would look lovely as a primary/outer border. Very nice quilt by the way.

I think a blender would make it pop. It would frame up your cute blocks very nicely.

Yes now the more I look at it I think a solid color would be better back to the store!

out of those two, i'd go with the side.
if you're buying more fabric, a mottled one, looks like a solid from a distance.
It's your quilt, so do what you like best.
    It's a very pretty quilt.
