Less Than 20 Days

I don't keep track of how often I sew on my calendar, but I do keep track of how many quilts I have made so far. My sister, who taught me to quilt 4 years ago, suggested this, as she wishes she knew how many quilts she has made. Every time I finish a quilt, I mark it on my calendar, changing the number so I know my current count.
I like knowing how many quilts I have made, though I do break it down into quilts, mini-quilts, and "cat-sized quilts. It makes me feel good, knowing how many I have made.
I basically sew at least something every day, so marking that info wouldn't be as interesting to me.

That's a great idea. I've been thinking about how to get myself to be more motivated. When I get home after work, I'm tired and my eyes are, too! Maybe using your tip will get me going!

What a great and motivating idea! I belong to a small group of quilters and we try to make a quilt a month. This would be an excellent method to keep track, as well as fun to look at on Dec 31 to see what was accomplished. Thanks for sharing a wonderful idea! :-)

I have a project calendar that helps me move in a forward direction. I start with a list of goals for the year- Keep organized, start new projects, work on UFOs etc. Then I break it down into smaller 'chunks' monthly and weekly. I try to keep it flexible because I know there are things that I will have to add projects because of new needs that come up. I love to check off the days that I accomplish what is written in the calendar box. It helps me not be distracted and waste precious sewing time. If I start to fall behind I have to readjust a bit.
