Believe me I never would have not given a starting price is I had known. She also knows me and had an idea how much I had put into it. I guess that is why she has money.
OUCH!! No wonder you are upset! Next time (if ever) - put a minimum price on it or it comes back home with you!

What a ***** - although I really hate to insult the canine species with that comparison.

Had to look twice before I realized that it represents a pink ribbon - It's a lovely piece.

it beautiful. Honestly I don't ever expect to get my money out of a quilt. .... but then I have not sold very many at all. I always figure I would be making a quilt anyway - if someone wanted it or not. I have a sickness So I am happy with any kind of money.... I may change my mind later though

I have had the same experience and will not donate a quilt to be auctioned off any more. I believe that a raffle brings in more money, mine also was for a "good cause". It was a full sized rag quilt and I even made pillowcases to go with it, it brought $20.00!! Didn't even pay for my time, little only the fabric and batting. Your quilt is gorgeous by the way, and should have brought a lot more.

I totally misunderstood what you had said, I thought it actually went up for auction, not someone who saw it before hand, but I think I would personally tell that person that she knew the proceeds from the quilt went to a good cause and that she should be ashamed of herself for paying such a piddly amount of money for such a gorgeous quilt. If you decide to donate another one at another time, if the same person tries the same thing, tell her what it's REALLY worth.
